About The Artist

After studying then teaching at Camberwell Art School, casting for Ivor Abrahams, Basia Burrough relocated to the USA specialising in mural decorative features to architectural projects with William Mitchell Design. She returned to Europe and the UK as a teacher.

“I have been concentrating on Portraiture, Landscapes and River Paintings since 2000 when I relinquished professional teaching. Painting is where my passion lies. I work directly from life… a vitality that gives substance to the painting, whether in portraiture or landscape. My time is divided between my landscapes and portrait commissions.” – Basia Burrough
